Returned to Brightcore Energy for a second summer internship. This time I worked within the private sector vertical of the business development team and contributed with a focus on outreach and strategy. I led coordination and content development for NYSERDA PON 5614 submissions and authored two white papers aimed at client education and project origination. I supported research on regional geothermal incentives and target market analysis, including universities and Fortune 1000s. Additionally I gained hands-on experience in project management, and stakeholder coordination.
Facilitated the day-to-day operations of the Real Estate vertical of the Business Development team. Tasks were based around providing Geothermal heating and cooling for multi-family properties through developing proposals with data from GIS mapping, existing data from Brightcore files, and thorough cross-checking between sources. Additionally, developed familiarity with legislation surrounding economic/tax incentives for renewable energy development in New York State and the Northeast region of the US.
